this site is becoming like those daily puppy sites and i'm sure there's a human baby equivalent.
but how can i help it? puppies and cute babies are too cute! don't fret - i'm not at the tina fey baby mama stage yet. i'll just admire and won't steal your baby. unless of course, the baby's daddy is gael garcia bernal.
another dose of cheerio.
sorry for copping out and just putting promotional stuff on the blog. hasn't been much to write about. or maybe the sun makes me lazy.
here's just a bunch of randoms...
that tree we bought Memorial Day weekend was looking like this:

but now looks even worse than this:

our latest bambino pic. benjamin has grown up to look like this:

hugo has grown up to look like this:

but sorry hugo, we're currently obsessed with my bro's new puppy Cheerio:

you might think i've joined some cult, but this is that that robe they give you at 230 Fifth avenue rooftop bar when it's cold out.

Artichoke pizza made it to my hot 10 EV drunk food list . which is still worth waiting in line for as this pic was from last night...

Here's me eating all-you-can-eat Indian buffet at Jackson Diner in Queens. I had a dream last night that Momofuku was having a Bacon buffet. but alas, it was but a dream. C'mon neighbors!

But the real point here is my "Make Me A Sandwich!" Monster tee.

Which you can buy here.
And last but not least... food!
was in Miami last month and of course, made another trip to Joe's for their stone crabs. ridiculously large!

but the true crab eaters that don't use utensils other than a mallet go to maryland. was there this past weekend visiting in-laws.

and then finished it off with some scrimps. TWO DAYS IN A ROW! it's all just water weight any way.

oh and my newest tv obsession is Meerkat Manor on Animal Planet. Seriously? seriously. but please get whoopi to narrate all the episodes! also, seriously.
sorry for the gross title but i tried on these cocobelle sandals (they're back in stock!) yesterday and i HAD to get one for myself. my pink toenails are my color for this season - just so you know. i'm sure you'll see it in all the little hot pink/coral sections of the store - lingerie, t-shirts, dresses, swimwear, and probably even in jewelry.
Click here to buy these leather sandals.

haven't spoke to my friend jenn in a while, but just checked out her newest selection of hair accessories. i think i just saw lindsey from the hills donning this piece. regardless, it's the perfect way to celebrate spring.
"delicate satin and crystal headwrap. 5/8" satin ribbon with swarovski crystals designed after an art deco jewel"...
$68.00
click here to buy or check out her other amazing creations...

random knick knacks i've gotten this month...
yes, i spent a saturday to go past midtown (which only happens once a year) to a museum that i'd normally never get to check out and what happens? only a third of the museum is open. oh, well. i perused the gift shop instead and decided to check out the Met yet again.
these were at the gift shop at cooper hewitt national design museum.
vote cards. these are business card sized.
i'm going to be giving them to my brother in law who is campaigning for Obama.

definitely random. in a kind of daytime drunken state - maybe it was that same saturday? we picked up this wooden box at a shop in the east village (on 9th street i think?)

a group of my crazy friends just got back from a trip to africa to climb kilimanjaro. not my type of vacay, but kudos to all of you and especially cathy for bringing back an authentic wooden giraffe (my fave animal).

koreans can't sit on a floor without a seat cushion. well, not entirely true since i did it for the last year in our new home. finally sucked it up and snatched these modern looking ones. cute! and comfy! just like everything at azaleas.

and one of my favorite shops in new york city these days? utowa. they have the most intensely gorgeous flower arrangements you could imagine. actually, you can't even imagine these things. well, i picked up these ceramic chopstick placers in the shape of cornichons and soybeans.

a picture of their bathroom with those japanese toilets with heated seats and wall panel. i had to take a pic.

i know, i'm weird...
one of our customers came in with one of these border terriers yesterday. i don't think i'm ready for a pup - i can barely take care of myself! but damn i want one!

while surfing the web,i found this awesome tongue-in-cheek shop suck uk. azaleas is going to look into carrying some of their products. in the meantime, enjoy some of these offerings...
i heard once when i was working in the industry that calvin klein has a pantone color card for his coffee. any assistant that can't match that color gets fired or some nonsense like that. i don't know if it's true but here's a way to make sure you get your boss the right cup of coffee.
one of our customers has an artist boyfriend that makes her the most amazing gifts every year. i still remember listening with envy to her story of receiving a hand-carved wooden boombox , that was really an ipod docking station. lucky sister! anyhoo, here's suck uk's cardboard version

i was looking for costume ideas at the Patricia Field store.
for those who don't know Pat Field, she was the Oscar-winning costume designer / stylist for Sex and the City (and for the film). but for those of us who grew up in NYC, she's way more than that. her drag queen-run Greenwich Village shop had been around for 30 fantabulous years (it's now closed) and was THE place to go for club gear amongst other things. She reopened the store on the Bowery last year
I met her a couple years ago and totally geeked out on her but I guess she's used to that.
Any way, peruse her website and find this Ho on the Go bag (Hogo for short):
a thong, some condoms, toothbrush and toothpaste. the clincher? the moist towelette.
but what i'm really going to buy?

I just haven't decided if this is for halloween or for usual wear........
too cute... tongue in cheek is the kind of fun we like at azaleas.
whatisblik.com has a bunch of fun, affordable wall decals
before you poke and laugh at me ...
i don't know about you, but i just can't seem to keep all my delicate jewelry untangled! it's just not happening. all these chains and baubles all get tangled and then i get too bothered to wear them ever again.
well, this is my newest gadget for my home. i was in dire need of a full length mirror but why just get a boring mirror when you can have something functional? check this baby out. and yes, it's from qvc.
i can't take all the credit. someone else had it at her home and i was darned.
to purchase, click here.

my obsession with all things childish continues...
went to miami for my bachelorette party/bridal shower and had to visit one of my favorite Miami shops Base.
well, they happened to have a new store opening on Lincoln Road that day offering designer furniture and designer clothing. Each room is painted a different color with a different theme (probably about 8 rooms). i saw an army of these bambis in all sorts of positions (standing, sitting, grazing) and had to get one! my friend picked it up as a gift for me. (thanks, Irene!) a hundred buckaroos.
Side note: i looked ridiculous going through airport security with this guy. They thought it was a dead animal. NOT!

met up with some friends the other night. my friend's new boyfriend (only new to me since I hadn't seen her in 6 months!) owns this awesome furniture store in soho.
as i'm getting married in a couple months (actually less than 2 -yikes!) i'm finally looking at furniture like a real adult. upgrading from IKEA in NYC is probably the most grown up thing i've ever done.
check out his site at bddw.com
I'm such a clutter freak. every year, i make my new year's resolution that i'll throw out all my clothes i don't wear any more, maintain my desk area (there's a pile of magazines that have been sitting by my feet for over a year), clean out the fridge... you know, typical gross stuff...
well, one thing that's helped me maintain this new lifestyle later than the 3rd of january is this new swiffer duster. the refills are expensive (duh) but no more of that dust on the tv screen i always mistake for a character's grey hair.
get it at your local drugstore.

went to meet up with my cousin's husband, geoff, last night. they just had a baby about a month ago. swung by a new scandinavian design store in the west village and picked up these knickers with pee on the front and poo on the back.
for myself? the poo key chain of course!
go check out pee and poo's official website.
after months of all talk and no blog, i've finally sat down and set this up. azaleas nyc and friends of azaleas hope to add a little something to your lives by ranting and raving about the fabulous cities we live in. and i'll shamelessly plug www.AzaleasNYC.com any chance i get.
Oh - and watch out! we'll be setting up a myspace page soon, too.

i've finally given in and got myself one of these.
